Concerning with news on Aug. 27 and Sep. 4, MBA now open a report of our
hardware subcommittee's experiment study "Experiment of WLAN / Performance
Evaluation in a Laboratory and Closed Environments" on this web site.
|
How is the throughput in actual public WLAN environments? They used an anechoic chamber and 2 college class rooms as experiment environment, prepared maximum 40 PCs, and evaluated the WLAN throughput.
Then they found that:
- spatial conditions cause almost nothing to results (at least in these conditions)
- throughput is low if many PCs accessed in a same time - CSMA surely works
- PC abilities and conditions seem to affect the throughputs.
